POSTER FOR THE 2015 CONEY ISLAND MERMAID PARADE USA

A little while ago I started working with the organisers of the Mermaid Parade in Coney Island designing their poster and some merchandise. They are amazing people that works really hard to keep American heritage alive and I am really proud that they asked me to do the artwork.

The painting in the poster itself is based on the tarot card The Sun, as the Mermaid Parade marks the beginning of the Summer, the two mermaids representing two halves coming together (Body and Soul) which I found it suits so well the spirit of the Mermaid Parade.

I just wish I was there!! Next year maybe...

I've been wanting forever to paint a traditional boxer girl, ( I used to box a bit and I loved the outfit :))

I was lucky to get my hands on some Vallejo colours. They are almost impossible to find, and they are the best I have ever used by a mile.

COFFEE LABEL EDWIN COPA SIETE ESTRELLAS -BOLIVIA- FOR SMALL BATCH COFFEE COMPANY

I recently made this design for Small Batch Coffee Label. When they told me about the seven stars, I just couldn't say no :)

I thought it would be a good idea to merge the Bolivia coat of arms with the coffee beans and the stars.

Coffee and drawing is the best combination.

Yes, I really did enjoy doing this :)

 This one has been made on canvas panel with acrylic paint. I never tried this before and I have to say, the colours in the original are the most vibrant I have ever seen. But I did miss painting on cold pressed paper.
